Green Glazed Pottery Water Jar, Han Dynasty

Dimensions: 14.5″ (36.83cm) H
Earthenware holder with green underglaze. Inverted body and a protruding lip with a pair of handles tapering upward to meet a naturalistic architectural ornament. Decorative feature includes stylized wooden handles with carved wood grain and a ridged roof top. A small opening pierces the base of the roof. The underfoot and interior of the well is unglazed with slight remnants of glaze.
