A pair of stoneware tripods with short feet. Circular opening at the top and small rectangular opening at the lower base of the body. Minimal ornament with three sets of three horizontal stripes protruding along body.

Provenance: Collection of Philip Gould (1922-2019), professor of Chinese Art History who taught at Columbia University, Sarah Lawrence College, and Beijng Teachers Collge. He was a passionate collector of African art, he curated many museum and gallery exhibitions.
