Doucai Enamel Shou-Character Dish, Qing Dynasty, Daoguang Mark and Period

Dimensions: 8 1/4″ (21cm) Dia

The rounded sides raised on a tapering foot, enameled to the interior with eight multi-colored shou characters radiating from a central shou medallion, enclosed by interlinking foliate scrolls, the reverse with a band of stylized shou characters between interlaced scrolls at the foot and ‘comma’ motifs encircling the rim. Six-character Daoguang mark in underglaze blue.
